KaziGo Legal

Independent Contractor Policy

Effective date: 11 May 2026

This policy clarifies the legal relationship between KaziGo and the providers who use the platform.

1. Independent Contractors

All providers on KaziGo are independent contractors. Providers are not employees, agents, partners or joint venturers of KaziGo.

2. What KaziGo Does Not Do

KaziGo does not:

  • Pay salaries or wages.
  • Provide pension, medical aid, leave or other employment benefits.
  • Withhold or remit income tax or social security contributions on a provider's behalf.
  • Control the methods, tools, hours or location of a provider's work.
  • Require providers to accept any particular job.

3. Provider Responsibilities

As an independent contractor, each provider is responsible for:

  • Their own tax obligations under Zimbabwean and any other applicable tax law.
  • Any business registrations, licences or trade permits required for their work.
  • Their own insurance, where appropriate.
  • Compliance with health, safety and consumer protection laws.

4. Freedom to Work Elsewhere

Providers are free to offer services through other platforms, directly to clients, or in any other lawful manner. KaziGo does not require exclusivity.

5. Regional Application

This classification applies to providers operating in Zimbabwe and other African jurisdictions where KaziGo operates, subject to local law. If local law would re-classify a relationship, that local law prevails.
